[Remote] Software Engineer- prior DoD required
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cloud7Works, Inc. is an SBA 8(a)-certified federal IT contractor specializing in cloud modernization and cybersecurity. They are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to enhance the BH Pulse behavioral health survey platform for the U.S. Army, requiring strong server-side and web development skills in DoD environments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance BH Pulse web survey and admin portal
- Implement survey module changes, UI modifications, and reporting updates
- Support system design workshops and capture functional requirements
- Develop and maintain application design and specification documentation
- Ensure .mil domain compliance with Army IT security standards (AR 25-2, FIPS 140-2)
- Deliver work in Agile sprints; contribute to monthly status reports
- Support training material creation for unit POCs
Skills
- B.S. in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- DoD environment experience required
- Strong server-side and web application development
- Experience across design, development, testing & fielding
- Graphic arts background required
- U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain CAC/NACI
- Experience with React or similar modern front-end frameworks
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53 / DoD security compliance
- Experience with Section 508 accessibility standards
