Role Description The Data Entry Support Specialist will assist with data entry, troubleshooting documentation discrepancies, supporting system updates, and managing digital files. The ideal candidate excels in a remote environment, can quickly adapt to new digital tools, and is comfortable handling sensitive medical information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Enter and maintain accurate patient data, insurance information, procedural details, and administrative records.
  • Provide remote assistance to team members by answering questions, resolving documentation issues, and guiding users on data-entry standards.
  • Review database entries to identify errors, inconsistencies, or missing information.
  • Communicate with onsite staff to clarify discrepancies and ensure record completeness.
  • Use remote systems and digital platforms to track assignments, manage workloads, and organize digital files.
  • Support audits, reporting needs, and documentation clean-up initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees by providing remote guidance on data-entry procedures and system navigation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance at all times.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or healthcare documentation.
  • Strong keyboarding speed and high accuracy levels.
  • Ability to troubleshoot documentation issues and support others in a remote work setting.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and basic healthcare terminology.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
