Contract Computer Vision / ML Engineer
We are seeking a contract engineer with strong experience in computer vision / machine learning, with particular emphasis on NVIDIA DeepStream, Python, C++, and C. The role will support development and optimization of an existing CV pipeline focused on small object detection in environments where training data is limited. Responsibilities may include improving model performance, reducing false positives, supporting synthetic data generation, negative mining, and helping mature the system toward a more production-ready hardware and software stack. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the stack and can also provide broader software engineering support as needed, including occasional frontend work. Target support is approximately 15–20 hours per week. Preferred experience:
- DeepStream development and optimization
- Python, C++, and C
- Small object detection / edge CV pipelines
- Working with limited or imperfect training data
- Synthetic data generation and negative mining
- Performance optimization for deployed systems
- General software engineering versatility
