Duties
- Design and develop comprehensive training modules using instructional design principles such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to ensure effective learning outcomes
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging content tailored for online and classroom environments using LMS (Learning Management Systems) like Blackboard or similar platforms
- Utilize SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) standards to develop interoperable e-learning content compatible across multiple LMS platforms
- Conduct training sessions and workshops, employing presentation skills and adult education techniques to maximize learner engagement
- Manage projects related to curriculum development and content updates, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback mechanisms; refine instructional materials accordingly
- Maintain proficiency in learning technology tools such as Adobe Captivate and other authoring software to produce interactive content that enhances learner experience
Experience
- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or training & development roles within educational or corporate settings
- Classroom teaching experience with adults is highly desirable; strong understanding of adult learning principles is essential
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Blackboard or Moodle, including content management and user engagement strategies
- Proficiency in using Adobe Captivate or similar tools for creating interactive e-learning modules; experience with SCORM compliance is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for delivering clear instructions and facilitating effective training sessions
- Strong writing skills for developing instructional materials, guides, and assessments that are concise yet comprehensive
