Job Overview The Sr Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of business intelligence and reporting initiatives within the organization. They will work closely with business teams to gather requirements, translate them into user stories, and develop robust data models to power insightful analytics. The Sr Analyst will collaborate with the development team to ensure successful implementation and deployment, while maintaining excellent stakeholder communication throughout the process. Key Responsibilities: Gather detailed requirements from business teams for new business intelligence and reporting initiatives Document requirements and translate them into user stories for the development team Design and develop data models to support the reporting and analytics needs of the business Work closely with data engineers and developers to ensure the successful delivery of BI solutions Test and validate BI deliverables to ensure they meet the defined requirements and provide the expected value Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather feedback, address issues, and manage ongoing support Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data quality issues Maintain clear and concise communication with all project team members and stakeholders Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools, technologies, and best practices Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Analytics 2-5 years of experience in a data-driven role, preferably within a business intelligence or reporting function Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes/tools, and BI reporting tools (e.g., QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau) Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing concepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for business audiences Attention to detail and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred Skills: Experience with agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum) Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of data engineering tools and techniques (e.g., dbt, Glue, Python) Understanding of data warehousing and experience in data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Athena, Databricks) Understanding of data visualization best practices and principles Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies We are an equal-opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
