About the Role: The client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and strengthen core financial operations with a strong emphasis on QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online expertise. This role focuses on maintaining financial accuracy, handling full-cycle accounting responsibilities, and supporting financial reporting and audit readiness. The position will also serve as the primary liaison for external Power BI consultants, helping translate financial data into actionable business insights. 🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and vendor management
- Maintain and reconcile accounts across QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Ensure consistency and accuracy between accounting systems during system transitions and ongoing operations
- Perform regular reconciliations of Escrow/Trust accounts and Warehouse Lines
- Monitor daily liquidity and net worth requirements to support financial compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for executive leadership
- Maintain detailed work papers and documentation to support audit readiness
- Serve as the primary point of contact for yearly CPA audits
- Act as the internal liaison for outsourced Power BI consultants by providing financial data exports and operational context
- Ensure accuracy and integrity across all general ledger and reconciliation activities
✅ Qualifications & Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous experience in Mortgage Lending, Banking, or Financial Services is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reconciliation processes
- Comfortable working with financial data and supporting Power BI or reporting initiatives
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to financial accuracy and compliance
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
