The Rental Control Specialist will manage a high volume of calls and make regular contact with customers, body shops and vendors, using multiple platforms, collaborating cohesively with other team members to achieve department goals. Geo-Salary Information An in-person interview may be required during the hiring process State specific pay scales for this role are as follows: $32,363 to $56,701 (NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA) $29,421 to $51,546 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME) $26,479 to $46,392 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV) In CA: Typical hiring range is $40,078.80 to $48,985.20 The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates replacement vehicle claims with body shops, branch team members, and material damage staff to mitigate exposure to the Company and Policyholders.
  • Communicates with body shops to ensure timeliness of repairs. Verifies and validates repair delay reasoning.
  • Resolves and processes rental payment and billing discrepancies between body shops and rental companies.
  • Ensures that unnecessary fees/charges are not billed to renters.
  • Professionally processes questions from internal and external parties regarding rental policies, guidelines, and assists claims staff in providing a reasonable rental rate for third party claimants. Responds to verbal requests and written correspondence in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Initiates verbal contact and establishes expectations with Policyholders and claimants, explaining all rental benefits, guidelines, and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • You may be required to obtain a Company sponsored Adjuster’s license to handle claims, to be secured upon hire.

Preferred:

  • Some college.

Experience: Minimum:

  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Products.

Preferred:

  • At least 6 months of customer service-related experience.

Skills & Abilities: Minimum:

  • Solid comprehension of basic principles and practices of Company policies and procedure upon completion of formal and informal rental training.
  • Has a passion for serving customers in their time of need.
  • Ability to build rapport, has emotional intelligence.
  • Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills to professionally represent the Company in multi-channel correspondence with customers, claimants and rental companies.
  • Must be able to regularly exercise independent judgment which may have a moderate impact on the Company in areas of costs, consumer loyalty, and legal complications.
  • Requires critical attention to detail for functions such as entering, verifying, comparing data and accuracy in work.
  • Collaborates well with others. We are one team with a common goal.
  • Has self-motivation and accountability while working remotely.
  • Must have dedicated workspace that is free from distractions.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity by seeking out efficiencies through process improvement or technology.
  • Takes ownership of any process they can improve.
  • Assumes positive intent in all interactions.
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills are needed to manage a high volume of files.
  • Seeks growth within and beyond this role.
