[Remote] Revenue Cycle Account Manager

The Revenue Cycle Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between designated practices or hospital sites and the Revenue Cycle Operations team, responsible for managing and optimizing the revenue cycle, including billing, coding, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with assigned practices or hospital sites to identify and address business needs
  • Collaborate across departments (e.g., compliance, coding, digital, revenue integrity) to support integration of new services and business opportunities
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders and provide timely responses to inquiries
  • Analyze monthly performance data, including projections and budget comparisons
  • Provide statistical reports and consult on performance variances
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and support implementation tasks
  • Maintain and prioritize issue lists; develop and implement action plans
  • Provide updates on RCO initiatives aimed at improving billing and revenue capture
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for new initiatives
  • Monitor activity using EPIC Dashboards, Work queues, and reports
  • Develop standardized approaches for reporting, analysis, and quality management
  • Ensure charge and account receivables processing meets service standards
  • Represent RCO functional areas and facilitate communication across teams
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees and task forces

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Experience in healthcare, finance, billing, or revenue cycle management (professional or hospital) 3-5 years required
  • Strong understanding of healthcare billing, finance, and accounting principles
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Motivated to achieve service excellence
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and implementing strategies for revenue enhancement and process improvement
  • Ability to present to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and front-line staff. Ability to conduct training sessions
  • Ability to identify billing issues, propose solutions, and implement changes to improve revenue cycle efficiency
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with EPIC and Cognos 0-1 year preferred
  • Prior experience in academic medical facilities or hospital revenue operations 2-3 years preferred
