Position Overview

careerzynith is seeking a motivated Remote Part‑Time Data Entry & IT Support Specialist to serve as a trusted partner for our crew members worldwide. In this role, you will provide first‑ and second‑level technical assistance, manage service requests, and ensure that all careerzynith crew members have reliable access to the tools they need to perform at their best. This position is based in Montego Bay, Jamaica, with occasional travel to Kingston and the United States for on‑site collaboration and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Deliver prompt, courteous support for all careerzynith hardware and software, including laptops, tablets, smartphones, and communication devices.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding on‑site and remote assistance, ensuring crew members feel heard, valued, and equipped to resolve their issues.
  • Ticket Management: Log, track, and prioritize service requests from initiation through resolution, adhering to careerzynith’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • System Monitoring: Conduct routine health checks on networks, servers, and endpoint devices, escalating critical incidents as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge‑base articles, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation in line with careerzynith standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional IT teams—including infrastructure, security, and application development—to coordinate rollouts, patches, and upgrades.
  • Incident Response: Participate in major incident and outage response, contributing to root‑cause analysis and post‑mortem reporting.
  • Compliance & Security: Identify and report safety or security concerns, supporting careerzynith’s Safety Management System (SMS) and security protocols.
  • Physical Presence: When on‑site at careerzynith facilities or aboard aircraft, assist with light cleaning and cabin support tasks as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements, automation opportunities, and best‑practice recommendations to improve overall service delivery.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting modern operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) or completion of an IT Fundamentals certification (e.g., Coursera IT for Everyone).
  • Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications on desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Ability to travel short‑term (up to ½ week) within Jamaica and the United States, with a valid passport and the ability to obtain a U.S. visa independently.
  • Proficiency with remote‑desktop tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA), and basic networking concepts.
  • Legal authorization to work in Jamaica; this role does not provide visa sponsorship.
