[Remote] K-5 Social Studies Curriculum Writer

The K-5 Social Studies Curriculum Writer will write and adapt standards-aligned Social Studies curriculum for grades K-5, creating engaging lesson plans and assessments that foster civic understanding and historical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Write and adapt Social Studies curriculum and instructional materials (units, lesson plans, assessments, student materials)
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers
- Incorporate evidence-based best practices in Social Studies instruction
- Revise materials based on client feedback
- Support development of professional learning materials for teachers
- Apply knowledge of current trends in Social Studies education
- Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in history, social studies, education, or related field
