This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a direct, hands‑on connection with the children enrolled in our remote‑learning program. An immediate start is available, and you will join a collaborative team that values creativity, structure, and continuous professional growth.Key Responsibilities• Curriculum Development: Design, adapt, and implement a developmentally appropriate STEAM‑based curriculum for infants and toddlers, incorporating storytelling, sensory play, music, movement, and visual arts.• Educational Techniques: Utilize a variety of instructional methods—such as guided play, gentle prompting, and interactive multimedia—to reinforce key concepts like shapes, colors, numbers, and vocabulary.• Observation & Assessment: Conduct daily observations to monitor each child’s developmental milestones, social competencies, and emotional wellbeing, providing individualized feedback to families.• Safety & Supervision: Maintain constant vigilance to ensure a safe learning environment, adhering to all DHS regulations, sanitation standards, and emergency procedures.• Collaboration: Partner with fellow educators, curriculum specialists, and support staff to align lesson plans, share best practices, and create a cohesive learning experience across all age groups.• Classroom Management: Keep the virtual classroom organized, clean, and inviting, using age‑appropriate tools and materials that comply with health and safety guidelines.• Family Communication: Engage regularly with parents and guardians through newsletters, progress reports, and virtual meetings to celebrate achievements and discuss developmental goals.• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training, webinars, and peer‑learning sessions to stay current with early‑childhood education trends and STEAM innovations.Essential Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum). An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is highly desirable.• At least one year of hands‑on experience teaching infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare or early‑learning setting.• Demonstrated knowledge of child development theories, early STEAM pedagogy, and best practices for infant/toddler engagement.• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting, and the ability to provide three professional references.• Current certification in infant/child CPR and first aid (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment).• Reliable high‑speed internet connection, a dedicated workspace, and the necessary technology to facilitate live streaming and interactive lessons.Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Qualifications• Formal certification or licensure as an Early Childhood Teacher or Child Care Provider.• Experience with remote or hybrid instructional delivery platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, or Seesaw.• Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, ASL) to enhance multilingual exposure for children.• Training in trauma‑informed care, inclusive education, or special‑needs support.• Familiarity with DHS regulations and state licensing requirements for early‑learning programs.Core Skills & Competencies• Creativity & Adaptability: Ability to craft engaging, hands‑on activities that align with developmental stages while staying flexible to each child’s unique needs.• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members.• Organizational Excellence: Expertise in managing lesson plans, documentation, and classroom resources in a virtual setting.• Empathy & Patience: A nurturing demeanor that fosters trust, confidence, and a sense of security for very young learners.• Technological Proficiency: Comfort using digital learning tools, video‑conferencing software, and online assessment platforms.• Team Collaboration: Willingness to share ideas, give constructive feedback, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
