[Remote] Director, Financial Systems - Revenue & Billing Operations
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Envestnet is seeking a Director of Financial Systems - Revenue & Billing Operations to join their Finance department. The role involves owning the end-to-end revenue lifecycle, leading the billing platform consolidation strategy, and ensuring revenue GL accuracy and automation across a complex multi-entity SaaS business.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and execution for consolidating 5+ billing platforms into Oracle Fusion Cloud AR
- Drive revenue AR SLA > GL accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across all product lines
- Lead SaaS and subscription revenue recognition processes for a complex multi-entity product mix
- Design and execute billing-to-GL automation roadmap, eliminating manual reconciliations
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for billing platforms
- Establish and enforce revenue SLAs and reporting deadlines
- Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Product on revenue forecasting and analysis
- Build and manage a high-performing team including US-based managers and an offshore billing systems analyst in India
- Define data quality standards for billing-to-GL data flows and measure compliance
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in billing operations, revenue accounting, or revenue systems
- Proven track record of billing platform consolidation across multiple systems
- Deep knowledge of SaaS/subscription revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud or comparable enterprise ERP
- Experience managing cross-functional teams including offshore resources
- Strong understanding of billing system APIs, data mapping, and integration patterns
- Excellent stakeholder management — proactive communicator who partners with Finance leadership
- Experience in financial services or wealth management industry
- Familiarity with Salesforce Billing, NetSuite, Zuora, or similar billing platforms
- Background in finance transformation or Big 4 consulting
- Experience with iPaaS platforms (Workato, MuleSoft) for billing integrations
