Remote Administrative Assistant Job Description This temporary position is within the App Assist department, focusing on scheduling and conducting interviews with applicants. This role plays a critical part in facilitating the interview process and ensuring the accuracy of information gathered.

Responsibilities

Conduct professional, courteous, and articulate interviews with applicants, ensuring a positive rapport and gathering all necessary personal and medical information. Review documents and correspondence for additional information to enhance the interview process. Accurately enter data related to applications into the Application Interview System (AIS) and Assistant Underwriting System (AURA), ensuring precise processing and approval of life insurance policy contracts. Provide prompt and professional service to inquiries received via phone or writing, maintaining departmental standards. Communicate effectively using proper grammar and spelling within the department and with external partners to resolve issues and expedite processes. Effectively communicate AppAssist policies and procedures to internal and external customers. Essential Skills 3+ years of administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a call center. Solid medical vocabulary and comfort with medical terminology. Strong organizational skills and administrative capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry. Exceptional communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. Computer savvy, with the ability to work remotely.

Work Environment

The position is fully remote, with a shift from Monday to Friday, 1230 PM - 900 PM. Training will be conducted entirely online. The candidate must have a private office space and a wired internet connection, not wireless. The team consists of 7-10 case managers and operates within a large organization housing 400+ employees. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Frederick, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
