Job Description

Are you an experienced academic professional with a passion for quality assurance and a deep understanding of educational standards? Pearson is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Remote Academic Quality Partner to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal remote role, you will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing the academic integrity and quality of our diverse educational products and services across various disciplines. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor academic quality assurance processes and standards for all educational products and services.
  • Collaborate with content development teams, instructional designers, and subject matter experts to integrate quality best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct rigorous reviews of curriculum, assessments, and learning materials to ensure accuracy, pedagogical soundness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and feedback to enhance the academic integrity and effectiveness of learning solutions.
  • Stay abreast of developments in educational policy, quality frameworks, and pedagogical research to inform internal standards.
  • Facilitate training and workshops on quality assurance principles for internal teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Act as a key liaison with external accreditation bodies and internal stakeholders on matters of academic quality.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in academic quality assurance or a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment methodologies, and pedagogical principles.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for collaboration and document management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related academic field.
  • Experience with various educational technologies and learning management systems.
  • Familiarity with UK educational regulatory bodies and quality frameworks (e.g., QAA, Ofqual).
  • Project management experience in an academic or publishing context.
