Power BI Developer - Remote, Denver, CO Duration: 6+ months
- Seeking for a Power BI Developer to contribute to our Business Intelligence Program. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with business and data analysts to understand requirements and objectives for reports and visualizations.
- Identify relevant data sources and attributes for use in models.
- Proficient in Excel, capable of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Data Modeling:
- Design and document efficient data models to support business requirements.
- Deliver row and column-level security within Power BI semantic model.
- Establish reusable semantic data models in Power BI.
- Data Source Connectivity Setup:
- Connect to various data sources including APIs, SQL databases, and Excel files.
- Ensure seamless data extraction and transformation.
- DAX Formulas:
- Proficiency in writing DAX formulas, calculated columns, and measures.
- Report Creation:
- Design and develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards.
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance.
- Power BI Service & Deployment:
- Publish reports to Power BI Service, manage access controls, and automate refresh schedules.
- AI Familiarity:
- Comfortable working with AI tools to enhance processes and optimize data analysis workflows.
- Collaboration & Communication Skills:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Present complex data insights to non-technical audiences effectively.
