  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology to deliver precise and high-quality transcription work.
  • Review and proofread transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors to maintain document accuracy.
  • Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining consistent transcription quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve queries and update transcription protocols as required.
  • Maintain secure handling and storage of sensitive medical information according to UK regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical transcription or a related healthcare documentation role is preferred.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in medical documentation.
  • Familiarity with standard medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmaceutical vocabulary.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to focus for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in using transcription software and word processing tools.
  • Relevant certifications in medical transcription or healthcare administration are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
