IT Auditor/Client Solutions/Government Risk Compliance
Our client, a mineral and royalty company within the broader energy sector, is seeking an IT Auditor to support their team while they transition their auditing from an outsourced environment, to in-house. As an IT Auditor Consultant, you will be part of the Internal Audit Department supporting SOX compliance and IT risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: IT Auditor Consultant Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid) Pay Range: $70 - 95/hour What's the Job?
- Conduct IT audits focusing on SOX controls, ITGCs, and application testing within the financial services environment.
- Prepare detailed working papers and documentation to support audit findings and compliance requirements.
- Perform IT walkthroughs, testing of IT applications, and review of access controls and privilege management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess IT risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Utilize audit management tools such as AuditBoard (Opera) to streamline audit processes and reporting.
What's Needed?
- Proven experience in internal or IT audit, particularly within financial services or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, ITGCs, and IT application controls.
- Experience with audit tools such as AuditBoard (Opera) or similar platforms.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
