Immigration and Family Law Paralegal
Job Description:
- Provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for client law firms
- Manage all aspects of calendaring, deadlines, and case organization to ensure no deadlines are missed
- Draft pleadings, petitions, and discovery documents
- Support immigration matters, including document preparation and client coordination
- Follow up with clients to gather necessary information and documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal with direct experience in Florida family law matters (immigration experience also preferred)
- Strong experience drafting pleadings, petitions, and discovery, including initial disclosures
- Experience supporting immigration matters, including document preparation and client coordination
- Ability to follow up with clients to gather information and documentation needed for filings and case progression
- Experience managing all aspects of calendaring, deadlines, and case organization to ensure no deadlines are missed
- Familiarity with scheduling, e-filing with courts, and general administrative litigation support
- Ability to research and identify local court/judge rules as needed
- Strong client communication and case management skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to move cases forward independently and take initiative on next steps
- Proficiency with Clio or similar case management systems (preferred)
- Self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment
