Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing quality management systems and strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Conducting audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality management systems and regulatory requirements
- Investigating and resolving quality-related issues and complaints
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Providing training and guidance to plant personnel on quality management systems and regulatory requirements
- Developing and implementing corrective action plans to address quality-related issues and prevent recurrence
- Conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Developing and implementing quality metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as food science, quality assurance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on food safety and quality control
- Experience working with regulatory agencies, such as the FDA and USDA
- Experience with quality management systems, such as HACCP and GFSI
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in a relevant field, such as food science or quality assurance
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience with quality management software and systems
- Certification in quality assurance, such as CQF or CQA
- Experience with auditing and inspection procedures
