  • *Job Summary**

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is a hybrid position, with a mix of remote and in-office work (2/3 days on, 1/3 days off). As a key member of our Revenue Recovery Department, you'll work closely with a team of registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing professionals to ensure that our clients receive the reimbursement they deserve. Your primary responsibilities will include project associate duties, data entry, and medical record retrieval.

  • *Key Responsibilities**

• Project associate duties: + Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems + Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits + Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems + Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients + Running and creating reports + Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team + Scanning and indexing of documents

  • Data entry and medical record retrieval:

+ Accurately and efficiently entering data into our systems + Retrieving and reviewing patient medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness + Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues with patient records

  • Collaboration and communication:

+ Working closely with the recovery team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration + Providing exceptional customer service to our clients and stakeholders + Participating in team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments

  • *Essential Qualifications**

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business administration) preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical record/data entry or project support role
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare regulations
  • Excellent data entry and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • *Preferred Qualifications**

• Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance

  • Certification in medical coding or a related field (e.g., CPC, CCS)
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment
