This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of remote and in-office work, with a 2/3 days on/off schedule.   • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Associate, you'll be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits
  • Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining data integrity and accuracy
  • Making phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients, ensuring effective communication and follow-up
  • Running and creating reports, analyzing data, and providing insights to support business decisions
  • Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Scanning and indexing of documents, maintaining a secure and organized digital filing system
  • *Essential Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on healthcare or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical records, data entry, or a related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision in data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results
  • *Preferred Qualifications**

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or health information management
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
  • Certification in medical records or health information management, such as RHIT or CCA
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues
