We are seeking part-time, seasonal Customer Service Associates to join our team for the upcoming season. As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences, managing our point-of-sale systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our Ticket Booth and Gift Shop.   • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Greeting guests in a friendly and polite manner, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
  • Learning about the animals within our facility and our general operation to answer common guest questions and provide expert insights
  • Managing the point-of-sale system in both the Ticket Booth and Gift Shop, handling money and processing credit cards with accuracy and proper recordkeeping
  • Acting as a Zoo liaison during animal encounters and other on-site events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests
  • Basic inventory management, including tracking and maintaining stock levels
  • Ensuring guests are following all Zoo rules and regulations, promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for all
  • Demonstrating problem-solving skills, thinking critically to resolve guest concerns and issues
  • Possessing a high level of verbal communication skills, able to effectively communicate with guests, colleagues, and management
  • Being punctual and reliable, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and schedules
  • Working a variety of shifts, including weekends, to ensure our guests receive exceptional service throughout the day
  • *Essential Qualifications**

• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required; we are looking for individuals with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences

  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities with ease
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and guests
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent standing and walking throughout the day
  • *Preferred Qualifications**

• Previous experience working in a retail or hospitality environment

  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
  • Experience working with children and families, with a strong commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
