Key Responsibilities

As a Bilingual Claims Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, emails, and online reports in a timely and efficient manner
  • Inputting new claims into our claims system, ensuring accurate and complete documentation
  • Identifying callers' needs, clarifying information, researching every issue, and resolving calls if appropriate
  • Transferring calls to adjusters when necessary and escalating calls when required per company standards
  • Providing exceptional customer service to insureds, claimants, attorneys, and other callers
  • Handling claims department emails and ensuring timely responses
  • Assisting claims management with various tasks and projects
  • Managing claims document queues and ensuring current and complete documentation of claim notes
  • Assisting and backing up other customer service representatives as needed
  • Meeting personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Handling inbound mail and performing other related duties as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications

* Bilingual (English and Spanish)

  • Prior auto insurance experience preferred
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, efficient typist

Preferred Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in auto insurance customer service

  • Strong knowledge of auto insurance policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
