DevOps Software Engineer

CTG is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to support our client in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated software delivery pipelines and DevOps infrastructure. This role combines software engineering expertise with DevOps best practices to enable efficient application development, testing, deployment, and operations across cloud and on-premises environments. Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application delivery. Install, configure, and administer DevOps automation tools and platforms. Develop and maintain build scripts, deployment automation, and release management processes. Package, deploy, and support applications across multiple environments. Implement and optimize continuous testing and quality assurance processes. Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery. Monitor and troubleshoot application and deployment issues. Support infrastructure automation and environment management initiatives. Drive adoption of DevOps best practices and process improvements. Required Skills Strong DevOps engineering and automation experience. Proficiency in Java, Python, and Shell scripting. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps. Experience with source control systems, including Git. Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous testing practices. Familiarity with cloud and hybrid application deployment environments. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Application Development, Software Engineering, or related technical roles. Experience implementing enterprise-scale automation and deployment solutions. Demonstrated success supporting modern software delivery and release processes. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $118,000 to $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
